Dual Diploma
Expand your child’s world at the only school in the tri-state area where graduates earn a High School Diploma and the German International Abitur.
GISNY’s distinctive dual-diploma program prepares students to attend the finest colleges and universities in the world, offering an academically exceptional and culturally rich multilingual education to students of all nationalities and backgrounds.
The German International Abitur (Deutsches Internationales Abitur, or DIA) is awarded at German schools abroad. It builds on the strengths of the traditional Abitur curriculum (the highest diploma awarded to High School students in Germany) and adds a larger bilingual component. Students in DIA programs become truly multicultural, developing into socially- and globally-conscious citizens with a world of opportunities available.
In addition, GISNY is a recognized U.S. High School accredited by the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS). GISNY students meet all criteria to obtain a High School Diploma.
