School Procedures during Snow Days

Following last week's surprise snowstorm, we want to remind you of our procedures during a "Snow Day".

We are generally following the White Plains School District's recommendation to either close the school or start with a few hours delay when weather conditions threaten to make driving dangerous during the morning commute or at a later point during the day.

When we decide to close or delay, you will receive a message through our emergency system very early in the morning (around 5.30 am). 

If school is closed for one or two days, please follow the guidelines below: 

• Pre-K and Eingangsstufe: no assignments
• Grades 1 to 4: The class and subject teachers post assignments in Teams by 9 am
• Grades 5 - 12: Online lessons via Teams will take place according to the schedule.

Delayed start: If your child/children take the school bus, please contact your bus company to confirm pick-up times.
