GISNY Spring Event Review: A Celebration of Culture, Talent, and Community
Last Saturday, GISNY's campus came alive with excitement as the community gathered for our annual Spring Event — this year made even more special with the launch of our very first CultureFest. The day was a vibrant showcase of diversity, talent, and togetherness, and it couldn’t have been a greater success.
The CultureFest stands for India, Brazil, Mexico, and South Africa buzzed with activity as students enthusiastically participated in the GISNY passport quiz, exploring each country’s culture and cuisine. Parents and students enjoyed a delicious range of traditional dishes and drinks, discovering new favorites like Biltong and Mango Lassi.
For those with bigger appetites, an international potluck buffet — generously donated by our amazing parent community — provided plenty of variety. Sweet treats and a chocolate fountain by Grade 11, along with refreshing drinks from Grade 10, added an extra touch of indulgence.
Throughout the event, the Class Basket Raffle kept spirits high, drawing crowds eager to get their last-minute tickets for a chance at the exciting baskets.
At 3 PM, the crowd transitioned to the auditorium for the Talent Show, where our students amazed a packed audience with unforgettable performances — from passionate singing and musical pieces to dazzling magic tricks. Head over to our Instagram account for videos of the wonderful performances.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who helped bring this incredible day to life — especially the organizing teams behind the country stands, the raffle, the Talent Show, the Library Team, Grades 10 and 11, our dedicated maintenance and tech crews, food donors, and all volunteers.
