GISNY Cookbook Family Recipes

Invitation to Collaborate on a GISNY Cookbook!

Hello Food Enthusiasts and Culinary Adventurers,

We're embarking on a delicious journey and we'd love for you to join us! We're putting together a GISNY Cookbook, a collection of family favorite recipes from our school community. Imagine a culinary passport filled with flavors from Germany, Italy, Mexico, India, France, China, and beyond.

Whether you're a seasoned chef, a home cook with a family favorite, or someone who's passionate about food from your heritage, we want to hear from you. Share your cherished recipes, the ones that tell a story, evoke memories, or simply bring joy to the table.

This cookbook isn't just about ingredients and instructions; it's about celebrating the diversity of flavors, cultures, and traditions that make our world so rich and vibrant. Together, let's create a cookbook that's a culinary journey within our school community and around the world, one recipe at a time.

We would like to share the recipes on our social media and print a "GISNY Family's Favorites" cookbook once we have collected enough recipes.

How to Participate:

Four spots will be open every month until May 2025. The goal is to collect 32 recipes by the end of the school year. We will inform you in the app and the newsletter when new spots open up.

1. Sign up: Please sign up to share your family's favorite recipe at https://signup.com/go/jGEwKXW.

2. Plan your meal: Sit down with your family and decide which recipe you would like to share with the community.

3. Set up & take pictures: Set up your cooking space and take pictures.

4. Take pictures: Take pictures of your family cooking together and, most importantly, of the finished meal (using white paper as a background)

5. Submit: For the October submission, sign up and send your recipe and pictures (finished meal and family) to m.arueira@icloud.com by November 8th.

Let's come together and create a cookbook that's not just a collection of recipes but a celebration of our global food heritage. Together, we'll make this cookbook a true culinary treasure!

For any questions, please get in touch with Maria Chaves or Joana Stueber.

Looking forward to tasting the world through your recipes! Bon AppeĢtit & Happy Cooking!
