GISNY Schoolympics | October 3, 9:30 am - 2 pm

This year, the school-wide, friendly, athletic competition, the GISNY Schoolympics will take place on  Saturday, October 3 (rain date Sunday, October 4).

Please note:
It is a mandatory school day for all students! If your child cannot attend, you need to inform your homeroom teacher as soon as possible. 

All students in grades 1 - 10 will meet at 9:30 am in the gym to prepare for the big opening ceremony. Pre-K and Kindergarten students will meet in their classrooms. Everybody else will meet on the lawn in the back of the school at 10:00 am.  

Students from grades 1-10 will compete in team games until 12:00 noon, and will be supervised by their faculty team leaders during this time, as well as students from grades 11 - 12, who will also manage the beverage and cake stands.

Families can cheer on their children’s team, have fun at the fun stations with younger siblings, or meet with new and old friends. Make sure to pick up your free game station stamp card at the organization table in order to participate in the raffle at 2 pm.  

There will be supervision by teachers until 12 pm for students grades 1 and up. However, we would like all children from PreK to Grade 8 to have a supervising adult present on the school grounds.
