Campus

Not just a campus. A special place in the world.

At GISNY, our campus plays an essential part in shaping the educational experience. We offer wide open green spaces with plenty of room to explore, play or just reflect. It’s a comfortable and beautiful safe oasis in White Plains, in the heart of Westchester County, just 25 miles north of New York City.

Explore our campus, where locals and international families alike find a true home base.

Outdoor Classrooms

As you step onto our sprawling 20-acre campus, you're greeted by lush greenery and expansive open spaces. Our Nature-Based Early Childhood Educational Program (NBECE) takes full advantage of this natural setting, allowing our youngest students to spend most of their school day outdoors.

Library

Our vibrant and expansive library is a hub of knowledge and inspiration! Immerse yourself in a world of possibilities with our remarkable collection boasting over 13,000 items. Our library is not just a space; it's a place where students can uncover their next literary adventure, surrounded by comfortable seating and ample study areas. For parents eager to explore the literary landscape, the library warmly welcomes visits during designated parent hours or by appointment.

Science Wing & MakerSpace

Our students have access to a state-of-the-art Science Wing with science labs, MakerSpace and cutting-edge technology. GISNY places a special emphasis on comprehensive education in the STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Awarded as MINT school, the German equivalent of STEM, we aim to optimally prepare our students with fundamental skills and knowledge for future-relevant topics, courses of study and professions.

Cafeteria

Our cafeteria is the heart of our school community! Partnering with Flik, a renowned food service provider, we offer a delicious and nourishing culinary experience. Certified by the Green Restaurant Association, we prioritize sustainability. From grades 1 to 12, along with our faculty and staff, we enjoy freshly prepared meals and customizable salads or sandwiches. For Pre-K and Kindergarten, lunch is served in classrooms for added convenience and comfort.

Energy Garden & Playground

At GISNY recharging is an important element of our philosophy. Our outdoor Energy Garden for middle school and an exclusive playground for our younger students promise great fun outside the classrooms. They help fostering mutual play, friendship and community building.

Arts & Music Classrooms

Our extensive program includes music and art as well as performing arts. Here the students can develop all their talents. They are trained in well-equipped art rooms, music classrooms, music practice rooms, as well as an auditorium, where they can show their skills to an audience at exhibitions, concerts and theater performances.

Athletics

Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just discovering your potential, our athletics program offers something for everyone. From our expansive multifunctional gym and meticulously maintained tartan running track, to our outdoor basketball court and soccer field, every inch of our campus is designed to inspire movement.

Information Technology

At GISNY, we use technology to enhance learning, fostering academic growth, collaboration, and digital proficiency. Students access curated tools and services for learning, creating, and presenting content via a secure network, interactive displays, school-provided devices for younger students, and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) for older ones. Cloud tools are seamlessly integrated into our academic workflow across grade levels.

Student Lounge

Our cozy student lounge equipped with sofas and armchairs, featuring table tennis and arcade games, offers an opportunity for upper school students (grades 10 -12) to retreat, recharge, connect and exchange ideas.

White Plains

White Plains is a picturesque residential area, which offers an urban feel combined with the comforts of suburban living. Most residents own their homes, contributing to a sense of stability and community cohesion. With easy access to New York and Connecticut via car, train, or bus, White Plains provides the perfect balance between city convenience and suburban tranquility. The city is also known as a vibrant hub of culture, cuisine, and recreation. From charming cafes and diverse restaurants to scenic parks and cultural landmarks, there's no shortage of activities to enjoy. And with exceptional educational, medical, and cultural facilities within reach, families can rest assured that their needs are well taken care of.
