May was a vibrant and inspiring month in the GISNY Library, filled with creativity, collaboration, and meaningful celebrations.

 

Activities in the Library

Language School Students

For the last time this school year, we welcomed our language students to the library. It was a pleasure to have you with us, and we are already looking forward to seeing you again next school year. 

Lesekiste

A special highlight were the creative “Lesekiste” projects from grade 3. Students brought their favorite books to life through detailed and creative displays, which we were proud to showcase in the library.

 

World Ocean Day

We also celebrated World Ocean Day by transforming the library into an underwater discovery cove. A big thank you to contributions from PreK, Eingangsstufe, Lower School, and 7th graders, the space was filled with colorful artwork, informative posters, and a wide selection of ocean-themed books for all ages.

 

Pride Month

Toward the end of the month, we began preparing for June’s theme: Pride Month. Age-appropriate book displays were created to highlight diversity, inclusion, and representation across all grade levels.

 

Winners of the 2025/26 Three Apple Book Award

We are also excited to share that the winners of the 2025/26 Three Apple Book Award have arrived, and we look forward to celebrating these four titles with our community.

 

Once again, we were happy to welcome many enthusiastic readers into the library this month.

 

 

We wish our entire community a wonderful and relaxing summer break and look forward to welcoming our students back in the new school year.
