We’re excited to kick off another year of Seeds of Kindness at GISNY!
Seeds of Kindness is our initiative that empowers students to take action, giving them the chance to help others, connect with our local community, and learn how small acts of kindness can make a real difference.
These are our projects, starting in October:
By raffling off a basket at our Schoolympics Grade 12 will raise funds for Hope & Heroes, an organization supporting children with cancer and blood disorders and their families.
Grade 7 will collect food for the Harrison Food Pantry, which helps provide groceries to local individuals and families in need. Students will deliver the donations and help at the pantry on October 8.
Grade 8 will spend time with residents at The Bristal, an assisted-living community in White Plains, providing companionship and playing board games.
We are happy to start this year’s activities and look forward to many more moments of kindness and connection throughout the school year!
