Sad News about Chef Paul Boos

Dear GISNY Community,

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Chef Paul, who served our community with dedication and care for many years, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 24.

He was a valued member of our school community, and his daily presence, talents, and commitment to our students and staff will be deeply missed. Many of our students knew him well, and he played an important role in creating a welcoming and caring environment in our school.

Our thoughts are with his family and our kitchen team during this very difficult time.

We will take time as a school community to honor his memory, including observing a moment of silence with the students later next week.

We recognize that this news may be difficult for some members of our community, particularly for students who interacted with Paul regularly. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if your child may need additional support.
