To celebrate the World Cup coming to North America, we have put together a schedule of very special events to celebrate "The Beautiful Game" in partnership with the German Consulate New York, CityKinder, and the City of White Plains!
POSTPONED: White Plains Parade of Flags - New Date: Sunday, June 14
Due to a prediction of thunderstorms during the scheduled parade, the event was moved to kick off the Soccer Fest Block Party on June 14.
New Timeline: June 14
11 am: Parade participants stage at Renaissance Plaza
Location: 200–202 Main Street, near Starbucks and the fountains
11:30 am: Parade begins at Renaissance Plaza and proceeds down Mamaroneck Avenue to Maple Avenue
12: pm: Festivities begin! Opening Ceremonies on Mamaroneck Avenue at Maple Ave. Speeches, entertainment, and fun for all! See details below!
On The Main Stage
12:15 pm: Opening Remarks and National Anthem performed by Contest Winners Hanayo and Ran
12:30 pm: Soccer Skills Challenge presented by German International School of New York,

CityKinder Family Fan Fest at German House of Soccer
Saturday, June 13, 2-5 pm
An afternoon of soccer, bratwurst and German-style family fun. Bring the kids, wear your jersey, and celebrate together at NYC's largest family World Cup watch party at DFB's German House of Soccer. A great opportunity to enjoy the match, interactive soccer activities, a chance to win amazing raffle prizes, and fun entertainment for the whole family in this unique pop-up venue.

White Plains Soccer Fest Block Party
Sunday, June 14, 12 - 9 pm
The festival is a free, family-friendly event featuring live music, contests, trivia, games, face painting, and much more entertainment throughout the day. Guests can also enjoy food and drinks in a beer garden-style setting with ample seating and giant screens along Mamaroneck Avenue to watch all of the games.
GISNY will be on stage to kick off the Germany vs Curaçao game at 12:30 and have an activity table from 12 to 4 pm.
We invite all GISNY soccer kids to join our pregame Tengeln Competition (Soccer Ball Juggling) on stage at the White Plains Block and Watch Party on Sunday, June 14 at 12:30 pm right before the Germany vs. Curaçao kicks off at 1 pm.
We would love to show White Plains what talented soccer players we have. We will also invite kids from the audience to compete against our kids.
Most importantly: The overall winner will win a Lego World Cup Trophy Set!

Deutschlandtag at the German House of Soccer
Monday, June 22, approx. 12 pm
Our GISNY Choir will perform at the German House of Soccer (GHoS) by invitation of the consulate at their “Deutschlandtag” celebrating German culture, transatlantic partnerships, and World Cup soccer.
GHoS will feature interactive booths, panels, and expert discussions. Members of our GISNY Soccer Teams will join us and play mini soccer inside the “cages”.
