At GISNY, students in grades 5 to 8 have the choice of ethics/philosophy or religion (Catholic or Protestant). Each grade level is divided into three groups up to grade 8.

In grades 9 – 12, ethics/philosophy is a two-hour weekly subject that can be elected as an oral exit exam in grade 12.
