COVID-19 Update
Liebe GISNY Schulgemeinde,
April. Email: office@gisny.org
Herzliche Grüße und bleiben Sie gesund,
Lars Hierath

Dear GISNY Community,
I hope you and your family are well. Today I have two very short messages for you.
I'm sure you have followed the discussion about the possible closure of the school until summer vacation. No official decision has been made at this time. We will, of course, continue to monitor the situation closely and also coordinate with other private schools in the area. Our current plan to open on May 4th, probably step by step, is still valid. As soon as we have any new information, we will share it with you.
The New York Times is offering students of our school free access to its online edition until July 6th. We would like to take advantage of this offer for students in grades 9 - 12 by providing the school email address of your children. If you as a parent or guardian have any objection to this, please email us by April 17th at office@gisny.org
All the best and stay healthy,
Lars Hierath
VIRTUAL PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
For students in grades Pre-K - 4, Lower School teachers will be contacting parents individually to schedule parent-teacher conferences from April 27th - May 1st.
For students in grades 5 - 12, conferences will be scheduled on April 28th and 29th from 4.00 - 7.30 pm.
In grades 5 - 12, conferences will take place online using your child's Team account. Please login to Office 365 Teams with the credentials of your child at your selected time. The teacher will call you through the video feature in Teams.
Lifting Up Westchester At this time of year, the Human Rights Club usually holds a fundraiser for food and school supplies for Westchester's most vulnerable population - homeless children and their families. Lifting Up Westchester has many programs that help the homeless. This year, since we cannot hold our regular drive, we would like share the link of Lifting Up Westchester, so that you may help out as you see fit.
