GISNY eNewsletter | Oct. 7, 2020
Today's Highlights
New Schedules & Two New AGs after the Fall Break As already announced in last week's newsletter, there will be some changes as a result of our COVID regulations after the fall break. Some of the changes have led to the fact that the schedules in the lower school had to be revised slightly and in the middle/upper school almost completely. The new schedules will be available in WebUntis in the next few days.
We will also be offering two more online AGs after the autumn break. Our new colleague, Ms. Schoetensack, will offer these new AGs via Teams for grades 5 to 8 and 9 to 12. Participants will be introduced to programming techniques based on exciting topics such as Artificial Intelligence or crypto currencies. The AGs will be for both beginners and also students with programming experience who can develop their skills further. You can find a short description of the contents of these AGs and also an introduction to Ms. Schoetensack on this link https://www.code-projects.de/
Lunch After the fall vacation, there will be hot lunches, the possibility to personalize the selection and more choices. For the first days of the week after the vacation, you will already see this in the menu. On Oct. 12th, you will be able to order for the whole week. Also please give your child cutlery every day. If they do not wish to do so, disposable cutlery will also be available at the school.
Barcodes After the fall vacation, you will have the possibility to bring a printout of a barcode instead of a paper printout of the daily health e-screening result, the same one every day. The Parents' Association has kindly offered to produce a barcode for interested parents of students. Please log in with the account you are using for each screening and let us know here if you would like a barcode.
You can also produce and print one for yourself. This should be about 1 inch high. It will automatically be as wide as the e-mail address is long. It should remain 1cm margin right and left when cutting and printing:
