GISNY eNewsletter Aug. 31, 2020IMPORTANT CHANGE IN DROP OFF PROCEDURES AND BUILDING ENTRANCES We need to alert you to one change in the drop off procedures. Students in grades 5 - 6 along with children from grades 1 - 4 will enter the building using the MAIN entrance. Students in grades 7 - 12 will use the side entrance near the cafeteria.

Now we would like to remind you about other procedures for the reopening of school:
Staggered Start To practice our new school routines and policies, and to avoid any difficulties, we will ask specific grade levels to begin on specific days during the first week of school. On Tuesday, September 1st, only: grades 2,3,4,5,7,12, and new students in grade 10. On Wednesday, September 2nd, Entry Stage (ES) and grades 6,10 and 11 will also come. Beginning on Thursday, all students will come to school.
Daily Student, Faculty, and Staff Health Screening For complete details on procedures, please read our Daily Health Screening Policy.
Flik Lunch Ordering Please remember that you need to order lunch for your child(ren) by Monday, 10.00 pm, one week in advance. By 10.00 pm tonight, you should have ordered lunch for the week of Sept. 8 - 11. https://gisny.flikisdining.com/menu/menus-eula
Distance Learning Option & Pick Up of Textbooks in gr. 5 - 12 If your child is in grade 5 - 12 and you have elected remote learning, we will have textbooks available for pickup outside the front office on Friday, Sept. 4th from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm and Saturday, Sept. 5th from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm.

LUW Volunteers and Donors combined equals 1737 friends. Because of this, every size donation gets them closer to their goal of preparing 524 students for a successful year of studies!!
