Tuition Assistance
GISNY is committed to making an exceptional education accessible to a diverse community of students.
We understand that choosing a bilingual education for your child signifies a considerable commitment of both time and financial resources towards their future. Our goal is to support as many families as possible in making this valuable educational choice feasible.
At GISNY, we believe financial constraints should not hinder a family's ability to choose a bilingual education for their child. We define financial need starting from the very first dollar of tuition that challenges a family's financial stability, offering tuition assistance across a broad range of incomes. This year, the average award size was of $ 16,672, which is equivalent to 63% of the full tuition. We encourage families to explore if they are eligible to receive financial assistance.
Financial assistance applications must be submitted through our partner School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS) by no later than April 15th for the upcoming school year.
Awards are granted at the school’s discretion, in adherence with SSS recommendations and our school's budget, which may vary from year to year. The Financial Assistance Committee finalizes awards after a thorough review of the completed SSS profile, taking into account each family’s unique financial situation as demonstrated through income, assets, expenses, etc. It is important to note that without submission of both the SSS application and necessary tax documentation (such as Form 1040, W-2s, and any other required documents), we cannot provide financial assistance. SSS charges a $60 fee per application, regardless of the number of children or schools applied to.
GISNY's financial assistance awards are annual, and families must reapply each year with updated financial information to be considered for continued assistance. Priority will be given to returning families, provided they meet the necessary criteria and subject to budgetary allowances.
For more information refer to the Financial Assistance Policy.
