Apply
You're ready to apply, we are here to help! Let's walk through our application process.
Application Deadline
We have a rolling admissions process, which means we do not have a firm application deadline. In our aim to keep the student-teacher ratios low and teaching quality high, once a grade reaches maximum enrollment we will begin a waiting list and you will be informed if a spot opens up for your child. Our Pre-K and Kindergarten programs tend to fill up quickly. To improve the likelihood that your child will be admitted, we encourage you to submit your application as early as possible. Applications will be processed in the order they are received.
Health Requirements
New York’s Public Health Law requires specific immunizations for school entry and continued attendance in all public and private schools in New York State. In addition, schools are required to maintain an immunization record for each student enrolled in the school.
Please refer to the list of required immunizations: New York State Department of Health Immunization Requirements for School Entrance/Attendance
Families must submit a Health Appraisal Form prior to 1st day of school for Pre-K students and due within 30 days of 1st day of school for all other new students. As required by NY State Law, this must be from a licensed NY State health care provider, either an MD, DO, PA or NP.
German International School New York seeks to bring together a diverse community of students. We will not discriminate in either our admissions process or our education programs and activities on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, abilities, national or ethnic origin. The School will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals, in accordance with applicable law. Students are admitted and placed on the basis of their German language proficiency (Grades 1 to 12) and academic achievement and potential.
