Junior-Engineer-Academy (Elective)

The Junior-Engineer-Academy (JIA) is a unique and fascinating offer for students who are enthusiastic about technology, science and innovation. In the JIA, students have the opportunity to develop their creative skills and work on future-oriented projects.

In grade 8 students have the choice of taking the JIA as an elective. The program runs for two years (four semesters), in which they have the opportunity, among other things, to deal with topics such as robotics, 3D printing, electronics, programming and bio-chemical processes. In teamwork, they develop knowledge and skills which will benefit them in college and everyday work.

A particular focus of the JIA is the practical application of the knowledge acquired. Students have the opportunity to realize their projects in our new Science Wing, where they have access to modern tools and technologies. By working together with our cooperation partners, including corporations and universities, the students also gain insight into the professional world and can learn to apply the knowledge they have acquired in practice.

With the introduction of the JIA, we set ourselves the goal of preparing our students for the future in the best possible way and giving them the opportunity to live out their talents and interests. We are proud to be a school that offers its students such a diverse and challenging STEM education.
