Junior Engineer Academy

The Junior Engineer Academy (JIA) is a unique and fascinating opportunity for students who are enthusiastic about technology, science and innovation. At the JIA, students have the opportunity to develop their creative skills and develop future-oriented projects.

In grades 8 and 9, students can take JIA as an elective subject. The course is divided into four semesters in which they explore topics such as robotics, 3D printing, electronics, programming and bio-chemical processes. Working in teams, students develop knowledge and skills that they will need in their academic and professional lives.

A special focus of the JIA is on the practical application of the acquired knowledge. Students have the opportunity to complete their projects in our new Science Wing which opened in 2022, where they have access to modern tools and technologies. By working with our recognized and carefully selected cooperation partners from business and academia, students gain insight into the professional world and can apply their acquired knowledge in practice.

With the introduction of the JIA, we set ourselves the goal of preparing our students for the future by giving them opportunities to develop their talents and interests. We are proud to be a school that offers such a broad and challenging education in STEM subjects.
