Dual Diploma

GISNY graduates earn both a New York State High School Diploma and the world-renowned German International Abitur, preparing them to attend the finest colleges and universities in the world.

Nature-Based Learning

Our nature-based program brings our youngest students outdoors for most of their school day, where they explore, learn, and play on our picturesque 20-acre campus.

From a strong bilingual start in Pre-K to targeted support and the addition of other languages, we are deeply committed to helping each student succeed. Languages at GISNY are integral to the learning experience.

As a STEM school, GISNY emphasizes mathematics, natural sciences, and technology at all grade levels. Our students gain the fundamental skills and knowledge for future-relevant topics, courses of study, and professions.

Spiral Curriculum

Our spiral curriculum from Pre-K through grade 12, inspires students to experiment, collaborate, and think critically as they continuously build upon and expand their skills.

Building strong minds.

Growing compassionate hearts.

Our small community commits to developing your child’s heart along with their mind. Fresh faces and diverse stories create bonds and insights, helping students build emotional intelligence and community.

GISNY’s rigorous, bilingual curriculum culminates in a dual diploma, which offers students opportunities to pursue higher education all over the world. We are a school community that values diversity of thought, problem-solving, collaboration, and respect. Our students support tolerance, facilitate cross-cultural understanding, and promote a globally aware atmosphere on campus. Education at GISNY prepares students to thrive in a diverse and globally connected world.

GISNY’s nature-based programming in pre-K is a true differentiator. Spending hours outdoors, exploring with other students (regardless of the weather!) expands their creativity and relationships and allows them to learn about the world around them.

At GISNY you are always in contact with people from different nationalities and backgrounds, which allowed me to become very open-minded. It’s easy for me to look at a situation from different perspectives and find creative solutions.

The gift of working at GISNY is the way it combines the German and American teaching experiences. Collaborating with my dedicated and inspiring American colleagues (as well as my committed and earnest German ones) has broadened my personal horizon and my school perspective.

More than just a place in the community.

A special place in the world.
