Academics

German International School New York (GISNY) is known for its innovative international educational excellence for over forty years. The primary language of instruction is German. Additionally, all students study English beginning in Pre-K and begin a third language in sixth grade.

We are committed to helping students reach their potential in a safe, friendly and stimulating environment that fosters critical thinking as well as appreciation for diversity.

Our program spans across all academic disciplines as well as the arts and sports. Our curriculum is supported and enhanced by science and technology resources, such as SmartBoards, iPads, laptops and labs for hands-on science experiments.

Working with a dedicated faculty and staff, students benefit from the school's rigorous curriculum, close-knit community, and interactions with the vibrant local culture. Students leave GISNY thoroughly prepared to continue their education in first-class learning institutions around the world.
