College Advising

Welcome to College Advising

Given the global nature of educational opportunities available to GISNY students who earn the German International Abitur (DIA), our approach to college advising is highly individualized.

To help our students find their own paths and apply to their favorite schools, our savvy college advisors work very closely with students and their families to guide them through the selection and application process for schools in the US, Canada, Great Britain and European countries.

Each year, our college advisors offer a variety of information sessions and workshops to help students learn about college and career paths and prepare for the application process, such as:

  • Career Orientation
  • Question and answer sessions with college graduates
  • Interview trainings
  • College Fairs
  • Career Day

We recommend our high school students to complete 80 hours of voluntary community service by the time they graduate from high school. We regularly inform our students about suitable opportunities.

All of our GISNY graduates continue their education at colleges and universities worldwide. However, a growing number of our students choose to attend university in English-speaking countries including the United States, Canada, Great Britain and other European countries.  Below you will find a list of the colleges and universities to which our graduates have been accepted in recent years.
